Saturday, April 30, 2011

Breguet takes pride in announcing its new 7787 Classique Moon Phases watch. It is available with a dial, hand-engraved on a rose engine, a grand feu enamelled dial or a version paved with diamonds.

Equipped with contrasting Arabic numerals, the novelty offers central hours, minutes and seconds, indicated by open-tipped Breguet hands in blued steel. The display of the new Breguet watch also ensures a moon-phase complication at 12 o’clock and a power-reserve indicator at 3 o’clock.

The dial is embraced by a 36mm or 39mm case with a finely fluted case-band. The model is sculptured in 18-carat red or white gold. Its back side is fitted with a sapphire crystal. Welded to the case are rounded lugs with screw pins, which secure an alligator leather strap. The water-resistance of the timepiece is assured down to 30 meters.

Inside the new Breguet 7787 Classique Moon Phases watch is hidden a self-winding Cal. 591 DRL movement, numbered and signed Breguet. It incorporates an oscillating weight in 18-carat gold, hand-engraved on a rose engine.

Integrated within the movement are also a flat balance-spring and a Swiss made straight-line lever escapement in silicon. Adorned with 25 jewels, the mechanism operates at the frequency of 4Hz and supplies a 38-hour power reserve.

Slender, legible and elegant, the new Breguet watches gadget definitely reflects the brand’s credo to perfection.
